I have good news and bad news.  The bad news is that summer is almost over .  Living in Chicago, summer is what reminds us all of why we love this city so much.  After trudging through the bitter, face-burning cold of the winter, and the not-much-warmer, rain-every-day Spring, summer brings us all together with it’s beautiful weather, open-air bars, and street festivals every weekend.  Unfortunately, this can only last for a few months, and soon enough it will be Winter again!  (Fall is beautiful, but that’s a story for another time!)

However, the good news is that MOLEHILL IS BACK!!!  We took a 2 month hiatus as Trevor played orchestral gigs on the East Coast, but now we are back together again, and we are looking forward to a busy run of shows in the next few months!

We played Libertyville, IL. last night, which was great!  Next week, we hit Champaign, IL.  and then in September we will be playing Chicago, Milwaukee, Columbus, Gettysburg, and New York City!

So stay tuned, and keep checking back to the website for new shows.  We have also been looking at various studios lately, and will be recording a new EP this Fall/Winter, so stay tuned for that as well!

Molehill is a Chicago-based rock band. The band puts together unique melodies and the addition of female vocals is refreshing and something you don’t hear nearly enough of in rock music. Their music has a great beat that will keep listeners nodding along and tapping their feet. The instrumental solos are impressive and add variety to Molehill’s music. We’ve been busy these past few months. Let’s get up to speed…

-We recently played St. Louis, Champaign, Chicago, and Madison.

-We also have some great shows coming up in the second half of June – we’re playing in St. Charles Illinois, we’re playing Chicago’s newest (and extremely cool) venue Lincoln Hall, and we’re also playing Harrisburg, PA and Washington DC! (also, shows in Philly and NYC in the works for September)

as for the press:

-Our song “I’m okay” won song of the week in April in “The Local Tourist” – a Chicago music blog

-”I’m Okay” was also being featured during the intro and ending credits in an episode of “Beyond the Pedway” – another Chicago blog.

-we played a show at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and appeared on WIIT 88.9FM in Chicago for a live interview (and are now on regular rotation on WIIT)

-we had a feature article in Champaign’s Buzz Magazine (click here to see article)

-our song “Let’s not get sentimental” was the song of the week on Episode 22 of “My Indie Life” (click here to see)
