“This song is about one person who is leaving another person whom he/she loves. This could have a range of meanings: from me leaving my wife to go on tour with the band, to a soldier getting shipped off to the Middle East, to an older husband on his death bed, about to leave this world altogether. No matter what the situation, the idea is that these two will be reunited one day – whether physically or spiritually. They are apart, yet connected always.”
The Choreography was inspired by the famous balcony scene pas de deux from Sir Kenneth Macmillan’s Ballet Romeo and Juliet.
