Thanks for the floor space, folks!
We loved playing Columbus, and appreciate staying at your house, drinking and eating pizza, sitting around the backyard campire, and sleeping on your floor. Thank God for air mattresses! A little advice for all you soon-to-be-touring bands – always bring air mattresses! Columbus, we’ll be back – and we had a great time playing with The Andy Shaw Band and The Wet Darlings!
Oh, and Gettysburg, not to mention Booker Lee and the County Fair, thanks for the great time! That place was packed, we saw a lot of old friends and met some new ones, and somehow Peter broke a string on 2 different guitars. Good thing we’re seasoned pros now and that sort of thing gets fixed smooth like butter 😉
Lastly, New York City? You’ve gotta be kidding me. I love you. So crowded, so hard to find parking, and yet so amazing. What a great energy! We absolutely can’t wait to come back.
After this quick tour we had our triumphant homecoming show at the crowded, hot, sweaty Beat Kitchen in Chicago. We played with two great Chicago bands – Steve Stone and All Things Lucid – and the energy in that room was fantastic. The room was hot and humid before we even started playing, and by the time we were finished, that place was on fire! Nobody rocks out and dances quite as hard as our great fans in Chicago! (and I’m glad I took my coat off before the end of the show…otherwise I seriously would have passed out. I’m telling you that place was HOT)
Thank you to everyone who came out to these shows! We had such a great time, and can’t wait to see you all again!
In other news, Fall is off to a beautiful start, we will be playing Libertyville and Milwaukee in October, and then back to the East Coast in November!
Also, still checking out producers in Chicago, but we promise we will start recording the new album in the next couple months!
Until next time, enjoy the changing trees, the beautiful crisp Fall weather, and we can’t wait to see you at the next Molehill show!
